As of January 2021, bioLytical’s INSTI HIV Self Test is the only HIV self-test approved for use in Canada. The test was approved by Health Canada on Nov. 3, 2020.
Other HIV self-tests, such as the OraQuick In Home HIV Test which uses oral fluid instead of fingerstick blood, may be brought into the Canadian market in the future.
